10 Days Uganda Wildlife, Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your professional safari guide from Wagatil Safaris will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, you may relax by Lake Victoria or explore Entebbe town at a relaxed pace.

This is a day to rest, recover from your journey, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Scenic Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey north through Uganda’s countryside, passing villages, plantations, and rolling landscapes. You will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting walking safari to track white rhinos on foot.

Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, home to the strongest waterfall in the world where the Nile explodes through a narrow gorge.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari Experience

Begin your day with an early morning game drive across the northern savannah plains. Expect encounters with elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, where hippos, crocodiles, and countless birds line the riverbanks.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest – Primate Capital of the World

After breakfast, drive south through scenic landscapes and crater lakes region toward Kibale Forest National Park. This area is famous for having the highest concentration of primates in Africa.

Arrive in the evening and relax surrounded by lush rainforest sounds.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

After a briefing, enter Kibale Forest in search of wild chimpanzees. You will follow their calls through the dense forest and spend precious time observing their social behavior, playfulness, and interactions.

Later, enjoy a guided Bigodi Wetland walk, rich in birdlife and other primates.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive through the scenic foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains as you enter Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is famous for its diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife.

Day 7: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start with a sunrise game drive across Kasenyi plains, where lions often hunt Uganda kobs. Later, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, one of Africa’s richest wildlife viewing waterways.

Expect large elephant herds, hippos, crocodiles, and spectacular birdlife.

Day 8: Ishasha Sector – Tree-Climbing Lions & Transfer to Bwindi

Travel through the Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. Continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to mountain gorillas.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing before entering the dense jungle in search of mountain gorillas. The trek can last several hours, but the moment you meet the gorillas is unforgettable.

Spend one magical hour observing them before returning to your lodge.

Day 10: Return to Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe. Stop at the equator for photography and souvenirs before continuing to the airport for your departure flight.
