Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda’s most diverse and scenic safari destinations, stretching across the western part of the country between Lake Edward and Lake George. The concentration of wildlife along the water makes it one of the best places in Africa for boat-based game viewing.

Beyond the savannah, the park also includes forested areas such as Kyambura Gorge, where visitors can track chimpanzees in a dramatic, sunken rainforest valley. This adds a primate experience to the safari, making Queen Elizabeth National Park one of the few places where you can combine traditional game drives with chimpanzee tracking in the same destination.
